With Speak No Evil, a small genre gem was released in Germany in 2023 that many horror thriller fans may not have discovered yet. The Danish film by director Christian Tafdrup creates a oppressive tension full of embarrassing momentswhich at some point escalate into unbearable violence.
The US remake, also titled Speak No Evil, from the horror studio Blumhouse, will be released in September. It features stars such as James McAvoy (Split) and Mackenzie Davis (Terminator: Dark Fate). A new trailer gives an uncomfortable insight into the new version.
