Marco Ebbe, a Dutch drug dealer, was shot earlier this week, Mexican authorities say.
According to the Mexican authorities Marco Ebben We shot on Thursday in the municipality of Atizapán de Zaragoza, about 25 kilometers from Mexico City, the capital.
Ebben was 32 when he died. His identity has been confirmed, says an anonymously a permanent source of the State Prosecutor’s Office.
The European Police Office, Europe, has listed Ebben as one of Europe’s most sought after criminals. He was suspected of smuggling large cocaine between Brazil and the Netherlands.
According to the Europol website, Ebben was sentenced to more than seven years in prison in October 2020.
In order to avoid the arrest, he is said to have staged his own death last October.
