With each new Avengers adventure comes the question of how to top the previous one. The first meeting of Iron Man, Black Widow and Co. already seemed like that ultimate comic book adaptation. In the years that followed, the Marvel Cinematic Universe was able to improve and deliver more superlatives.
In April 2018, one of the biggest films in the franchise, Avengers 3: Infinity War, was released in cinemas. We are still feeling the effects today this epic Marvel story, which not only brings together numerous Marvel heroes. The villain Thanos, who was previously introduced in several post-credit scenes, is finally allowed to rage.
In the Marvel hit Avengers 3: Infinity War, top villain Thanos wants to wipe out half the universe
As the title suggests, the villain played by Josh Brolin is on the search for the six Infinity Stones. He wants to use the stones to bring the universe back into balance. However, he is not a benefactor. His misguided plan includes the deaths of countless people, aliens, etc.

At this point, the Avengers come onto the scene and try to kill the villain by all means possible to put them in their place. However, it’s not that easy, because Thanos has brought an army with him, including the evil Proxima Midnight (Carrie Coon), who faces the Avengers with the other henchmen.
Be careful, follow it spoiler!
The film climaxes on a battlefield in Wakanda, where Thanos wipes out half of the universe – with no more than a snap of the fingers! It is by far the biggest shock in the MCU’s 15-year history. Numerous beloved figures crumble to dust before our eyes.
An unbelievable cliffhanger that was only resolved a year later in Avengers 4: Endgame. The trauma, which the so-called Blip triggered, is now still busy with many MCU projects, from WandaVision to Secret Invasion. No other film has had such a lasting impact on the franchise.
