A black silhouette appears. It’s a man with a bag. He wears a coat and hat and looks in awe at the house, which he will immediately enter. This iconic motif should have crossed the path of every film fan at some point. It comes from the horror milestone The Exorcist by William Friedkin.
In 1973, Friedkin brought the monstrous work to the big screen and delivered two heart-pounding, spine-tingling hours. One scene in particular has gone down in history: that moment when the devil-possessed Regan turns her head.

Regan turns her head 180 degrees. Suddenly there is nothing human anymore, just a horrible figure with diabolical eyes and a grin, that blows your mind. We can’t wait to see how The Exorcist: Believer will follow up on that this year. The very late sequel hits theaters in October.
It is directed by David Gordon Green, who already successfully brought back a legendary horror series: Halloween. After Michael Myers, it’s now the exorcist’s turn. If all goes according to plan, a new trilogy awaits us, the connects to Friedkin’s original and all other continuations ignored.
