Sometimes more is simply better. This definitely applies to Troll, the most popular non-English language Netflix film of all time. The fantasy spectacle garnered 103 million views in 91 days and thus set a record. There was still no talk about a sequel. Until now, because: Troll 2 is coming.

Fantasy sequel to Netflix’s smash hit from Norway: This is what we know about Troll 2

As Variety reports, Netflix has ordered the sequel to the fantasy hit from Norway. There is no precise information about the story or cast yet. Director Roar Uthaug (Tomb Raider) will also return like author Espen Aukan (Viking Wolf) and two of the producers of its predecessor.

Troll revolved around a copy of the eponymous Nordic mythical character who comes back to life after an explosion in the Norwegian mountains. A scientist tries to stop the huge monster.

It is difficult to predict when exactly the sequel to the fantasy hit will come to Netflix. The first sign of life for part 1 appeared about two and a half years before streaming started. We expect part 2 in 2025.
