One of the most legendary sci-fi monsters will return in 2025 – and will now be the hero (!) in the new film

Successful with Prey The 2022 Predator series is a small miracle. After 2018’s fourth film (Upgrade) was a commercial and artistic disaster, director Dan Trachtenberg created one furious course correction in the franchise. In Prey, a Comanche warrior had to take on the iconic alien 300 years in the past.

Due to the success of the film, another Predator film was commissioned by Trachtenberg, for which there is now an exciting update. A story like this has never been seen in the science fiction franchise.

New Predator film turns the deadly monster into a hero

The director has now revealed to Empire that a Predator will play the lead role in the upcoming film:

The creature takes center stage and leads the film. He’s still badass, though There is also something that touches you emotionally. It was a challenge to create a character that you felt connected to but at the same time very intimidated by.

Predator: Badlands will be the first part of the series in which the titular creature becomes a hero. The plot of the film is repeated after Prey in the future on an alien planet play. In addition to the Predator as the main character, actress Elle Fanning (The Neon Demon) will play twin sisters in the new part.

When does Predator: Badlands start in cinemas?

The new film in the sci-fi series is coming on November 6, 2025 to us. A second new Predator film was also shot and is due to be released beforehand. There is no information about this project yet.
