After the fourth Predator film, Predator – Upgrade, turned out to be a massive disappointment both financially and qualitatively in 2018, the fate of the legendary sci-fi series uncertain. The spin-off, released in 2022 on the Disney+ streaming service, invented the Predator series Prequel in the 18th century new. Through the eyes of Comanches we witness the arrival of the dangerous sci-fi villain on Earth. And with great success: the next film, Predator: Badlands, has long since received the green light.

Prey not only convinced those responsible at 20th Century Studios and Disney to further expand the franchise, but also to bring it back to the cinema. After it was unclear for a long time how exactly Predator: Badlands would be released, it is now clear: the film opens on November 7, 2025 in the cinema.

The Hollywood Reporter reports this. For now, the date is just the US launch. However, it can be assumed that Predator: Badlands will appear in this country soon. The film was directed by Dan Trachtenberg, who, in addition to Prey, also directed the great sci-fi chamber drama 10 Cloverfield Lane.
An official plot statement has not yet been revealed. But what we definitely know is who is playing the main role: Elle Fanning. The actress, known from films like Maleficent, Super 8 and The Neon Demon, is even set to appear in Predator: Badlands, according to leaked casting information in a double role be seen.
