At the beginning of the year, Netflix increased its streaming offer with many new films and series. So that you don’t lose track, we have made a list of them for you most important new releases created in the past few days. But before we get to that, there are a few separate recommendations.
New to Netflix: Copenhagen Cowboy by Nicolas Winding Refn
Nicolas Winding Refn hasn’t been to the cinema for seven years. The reason is obvious: Refn has found its new home in the world of streaming and series. After pitching Too Old To Die Young on Amazon, he’s now hijacking one on Netflix episodic neon nightmare. Copenhagen Cowboy is already one of the most unusual series projects of the year.
New to Netflix: Two action masterpieces from the 1990s
Netflix starts with two excellent action movies into the new year. On the one hand, there’s Heat by Michael Mann, which brings together Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in one of the best scenes in film history. On the other side, Jean Reno awaits as a serene hitman in Léon – The Pro, who would like to do his own thing, but is confronted with the young Natalie Portman.
