As reported by The Direct, among others, the Ultron rumor was recently busted by the moderators of the Marvel Studios Spoilers subreddit, citing “trusted sourcesUltron is set to return in the upcoming Armor Wars movie, and will be brought to life once again by The Blacklist star James Spader.

First announced in December 2020 as a new MCU series, Armor Wars development has since taken a new direction. The project is now slated for a feature film and will star Don Cheadle as War Machine. He is confronted with Stark technology falling into the wrong hands. Could this possibly be the Ultron program developed by Tony Stark?
The message should be treated with caution. It’s just a rumor at the moment. However, plot information for upcoming MCU projects has been published several times in the Marvel spoiler subreddit in the past, which later turned out to be correct.
