Hit Man is about psychology professor and police assistant Gary Johnson (Powell), who goes on an undercover mission suddenly has to pose as a contract killer. He also meets young Maddy (Adria Arjona), whose life he tries to improve thanks to his newly cultivated personality.
The action comedy by master director Richard Linklater (Dazed and Confused) premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2023 and has since received many good reviews, particularly highlighting Powell’s acting. Gary Johnson be “the biggest role of his life“, writes Variety in a trailer comment. “The brilliant noir comedy will be a real audience favorite“, confirms Screen Daily.
When is Hit Man coming to Netflix?
Hit Man will be on June 7, 2024 coming to Netflix in the USA, a German streaming start is not yet known. It will also be released in cinemas in selected countries.
