It was obvious from the trailers, but now we have official confirmation that John Wick: Chapter 4 starring Keanu Reeves will not be a kid’s birthday party. Because the FSK has announced its age rating for the action film.
What is the age rating of John Wick: Chapter 4?
John Wick 4 has received “no youth release” from the FSK, which means that the film has an FSK release from the age of 18. This is evident from the corresponding certificate.
It’s not the first part of the series to get an FSK 18 rating. Although Part 1 started from 16 years, but the brutal action scenes in John Wick: Chapter 2 and John Wick: Chapter 3 already attracted the highest rating.
In another respect, however, the latest sequel is a record holder. John Wick: Chapter 4 has the longest running time in the series at 169 minutes. Which, at least in the previous reactions to the film, is hardly noticeable in a negative way. Part 4 is already being celebrated as one of the best action films of all time.
What is known about the plot of John Wick 4?
John Wick: Chapter 4 follows on directly from the other parts and continues the fight of the former assassin against the top of organized crime worldwide. The official synopsis is as follows:
John Wick takes on his deadliest opponents yet in the upcoming fourth installment of the series. As the price that’s on his head keeps growing, Wick extends his fight against the high table to the rest of the world as he seeks out the most powerful minds in the underworld, from New York to Paris to Osaka and Berlin.
John Wick: Chapter 4 will start in German cinemas on March 23, 2023. Alongside Keanu Reeves, Donnie Yen, Rina Sawayama, Scott Adkins and Bill Skarsgård will star in the film. Directed for the fourth time by Reeves’ former stuntman Chad Stahelski.
