One of the funniest series of recent years is now on Netflix and no one has noticed

This sitcom not only received rave reviews during its run, but also numerous Emmys and Golden Globes. Now you can watch all six seasons of the celebrated comedy hit with a subscription on Netflix. We’re talking about Schitt’s Creek.

Schitt’s Creek is about that Billionaire Rose familywho made her incredible fortune as the founder of a video store chain. Having a bit of megalomania over the years, family head Johnny Rose (Eugene Levy) bought the insignificant town of Schitt’s Creek, which is located somewhere in the middle of nowhere in Canada, as a joke.

However, one day when Johnny is duped by his business manager, the family suddenly loses all of their assets. What’s left for Johnny and his wife Moira (Catherine O’Hara), his son David (Dan Levy) and his daughter Alexis (Annie Murphy) is the backwater of the world.

So they move into two cheap motel rooms there and have to get used to it from now on the simple life far away from luxury and the quirky residents of Schitt’s Creek get used to it.

That’s why Schitt’s Creek is worth watching on Netflix

The series received a strong 7.3 out of 10 points from the Moviepilot community and has an impressive 93 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes from both the press and the audience – and rightly so. The series impresses with the concept of father-son duo and genre luminaries Dan and Eugene Levy great absurd comedywhich is repeatedly punctuated by serious and emotional undertones.

Especially that one Dealing with David’s sexuality and the unconditional acceptance of his father Johnny is now considered a milestone in queer representation on TV. It’s no wonder that over the years, Schitt’s Creek has won numerous Emmys and Golden Globes as well as several GLAAD Awards. The series is currently at number 9 on the Netflix charts.
