Season 2 of The Penguin has just become more likely
According to series creator Lauren LeFranc and Reeves, The Penguin was primarily intended to build a bridge between The Batman and The Batman II. However, in the recent Variety interview between the director and Catwoman actress Zoë Kravitz, Reeves spoke about a possible future for the DC series:
Yes, we’ll talk to you [Showrunnerin] Lauren [LeFranc] about doing another season. That was a special experience. I just feel really happy. These characters do not belong to me; they belong to the world. What matters is whether you can approach them in a way that expresses something personal.

A few months ago, leading actor Colin Farrell said clearly that he never wanted to slip into the elaborate penguin costume again. However, he was much more open-minded to the Hollywood Reporter in November:
If it’s a great idea [für die zweite Staffel] and the script is really muscular and as strong or stronger than the first season, Of course I would do it.
When could The Penguin season 2 start?
Since a continuation of the DC series is still in such an early stage of development, new episodes are likely to be a long time coming. If a sequel gets the green light, we expect it 2026 at the earliest with a second season of The Penguin.
Mastermind Matt Reeves is currently working on The Batman II. The sequel with Robert Pattinson is scheduled to be released in cinemas on October 1, 2026.
