Australia-based company Lucapa Diamond has found a large diamond in Angola. In the statement made by the company, it was stated that a 170-carat pink diamond (The Lulo Rose) was found in the Lulo mine in the northeast of the country, one of the largest pink diamonds discovered in the last 300 years.

PINK DIAMOND WILL BE SOLD BY INTERNATIONAL TENDER

“This gorgeous pink diamond from Lulo continues to show Angola as an important actor on the world stage,” said Diamantino Azevedo, Angola’s Minister of Mineral Resources. The Angolan state-owned diamond will be put up for sale through an international tender to be held by the country’s trade firm, Sodiam.
