One of the biggest German Twitch streamers values privacy, but her moderator doesn’t take it that seriously

HoneyPuu received a mysterious message from an unknown number telling her that her cell phone number was making the rounds. MeinMMO tells you what it’s all about and how she reacts to it.

Who is HoneyPuu? Isabell Schneider or simply “Isa” is known to many as the popular streamer “HoneyPuu”. The 23-year-old German content creator launched her burgeoning streaming career in December 2018.

Originally she was in League of Legends. In the meantime, HoneyPuu has also dedicated itself to other games such as Minecraft and Valorant.

However, her presence is not limited to her own channel, as she is a frequent guest at events and with other streamers. HoneyPuu spent the last few days in the streamer paradise Madeira. But even in this idyllic setting, she was not spared from inconveniences.

What is the leak about? In one of HoneyPuu’s recent streams, she revealed to her viewers that she had received a mysterious message. In that message, she was told that her cell phone number had been made public. HoneyPuu, who is usually very privacy conscious and therefore doesn’t reveal much about herself, was dismayed by this breach of trust.

The identity of those responsible was initially in the dark. She asked the sender of the message if he had a name for her. He replied that he only had the person’s Discord name. But this name was by no means alien to HoneyPuu. It was one of their moderators on Twitch.

How is HoneyPuu dealing with the situation? It turns out that the said moderator had shared HoneyPuu’s cell phone number via Discord.

Originally, the number was used for possible streaming emergencies or for occasionally playing League Of Legends together. She said in one of her streams: “You have my number: Firstly, because we used to play a lot of league. That’s it. Four, five years ago. Secondly, the number was there in case something happened on the stream.”

But over time, he apparently misused that information to show off. So a few months ago he “flexed” about owning her number.

“By the way, you b**** will be shot out of my stream”

The consequences quickly followed: his mod status was revoked and HoneyPuu tried to contact him to no avail. He didn’t respond to messages or calls from her. She herself was very angry about this situation and said in the stream: “By the way, you b **** will be shot out of my stream. You’ll also get permabanned and all.” However, she refrains from an ad.

Although the damage seems limited because timely action was taken, HoneyPuu will still change her cell phone number. The situation has prompted them to take a more critical look at their choice of moderators and learn from the experience.
