One of the biggest German MMORPGs on Steam is getting a huge update soon, which should make getting started much easier

The German MMORPG AlbionOnline is going really well. Now further details for the next big update have been presented. This is primarily intended to make getting started easier. The “Paths to Glory” update is due to be released in July 2024.

Besides Tibia, Albion Online is certainly the most well-known MMORPG from Germany. The game has recently achieved several player records on Steam and is more popular than it has been for a long time. Albion Online recently launched its first servers in the EU.

With Paths to Glory, which will be released for the MMORPG in July, a lot of things are set to change in the MMORPG. Above all, many things are set to become simpler and more accessible.

When is “Paths to Glory” coming out? The developers have stated that the update will be released after the end of Season 23 in July 2024. Nothing more is known at this time.

The focus of the update is on structuring the so-called “Albion Journal.” This will be a major improvement aimed primarily at new players. The “Albion Journal” in Albion Online will contain a list of challenges and the associated rewards so that you know where to go and what to do. This is what our colleagues at PCGamesn.com are reporting.

The journal is primarily intended to serve as a guide for those who have just started playing the game. This should make things much easier for many beginners. Like many games, Albion Online suffers from the fact that it becomes more difficult for beginners the more new features are added to the game.

But even beyond improvements for beginners, there are updates that the community in particular has been requesting:

  • Guilds will be able to own more than one island. Each island will have its own look.
  • Weapons will soon be able to be double charged.
  • All spells will also be available for weapons level four and above, giving players far more options when they jump into battle.
  • The streets of Avalon are said to be less frustrating after the update and there will be more enemies to reduce idle time in the game.
  • In-game spawn rates are dynamically adjusted depending on how much activity there is on the server: the busier a server is, the more treasures, resources and mobs will spawn.
  • In the official DevTalk, the developers at Sandbox Interactive wrote that they plan to present further details about the update in the next few days. So you can look forward to what else will be shown.
