Déjà vu starts with a bang. In the port of New Orleans 543 lives are lost in the attack on a ferry. The FBI is tasked with solving the horrible crime with the help of local ATF agent Carlin (Denzel Washington), using the latest technology.

What initially looks like a compilation of several surveillance cameras turns out to be a gateway to Carlin’s astonishment Wormhole that can be used to view the past. And at the exact interval of four days and six hours, fast forward and rewind is not possible. The ATF agent soon discovers that he is able to manipulate the course of past events.
And that’s just one of many revelations. The deeper Washington’s character delves into past events, the more perspectives open up. And also the blossoming love story between him and the mysterious Claire (Paula Patton) doesn’t make things any easier.
When is Déjà Vu on TV?
That may sound cerebral, but in the end it’s an emotional roller coaster ride. Less thinking, more feeling is the motto here, even if the topic of time travel seems highly complex.
