One of the best sci fi series will blast your brain

After the hype surrounding Lost, creator JJ Abrams launched a new sci-fi series in 2008 that has never been as well-known and loved as the cult of the group of survivors stranded on an island.

Fringe – FBI Edge Cases is as well more sympathetic as more and more escalating into pure sci-fi chaos The X-Files replacement is also worth a look. The good news: with Amazon’s streaming service Freevee you can stream all 5 seasons of Fringe without subscription costs with commercial breaks. *

Fringe morphs from monster of the week cases into gorgeous sci-fi madness

In the series’ story, Anna Torv plays Olivia Dunham, an FBI agent who works for a branch of the United States Security Agency. The so-called Fringe Division takes care of inexplicable and supernatural phenomena. Olivia is supported by the brilliant and unpredictable scientist Walter Bishop (John Noble), who has spent the last 17 years in a mental institution. Together with Walter’s son Peter (Joshua Jackson) the trio is completed.

Fringe turns out to be an extremely entertaining X-Files alternative in the first season. Between the monster-of-the-week cases, which make the individual episodes appear self-contained, a common thread of the plot slowly becomes visible. In addition, the sci-fi series lives from the great chemistry between the three central stars.

From season 2 onwards, however, Fringe grows more and more into a sci-fi colossus parallel universes, time travel and other genre elements attends. At the latest when different versions of the same characters collide, the series becomes a wonderfully spun science fiction highlight that deserved much more attention at the time.
