One of the best sci-fi series of all time continues after 7 years and the original director gives his blessing

One of the best sci fi series of all time continues

Anyone who gives up their child wants to know that it is well protected. This is certainly the case with Alien director Ridley Scott, who handed over the direction of the latest part of the fantastic sci-fi series to Fede Alvarez (Don’t Breathe). And he celebrates the result, as Alvarez reveals.

Sci-Fi master Ridley Scott excited about new Alien film: “Did you write it?”

As Cinemablend quotes from a conversation between Alvarez and Guillermo del Toro, he really wanted to show the new film Alien: Romulus (also known as Alien 5 or Alien 7) to Ridley Scott. He explains:

[Scott] comes in and says, “What can I say? He’s fucking fantastic!” He talked to me for over an hour about the things he liked. One of his best compliments was: ‘The dialogues are great. Did you write them?’

Ridley Scott produces the film and is also considered a very opinionated filmmaker. So he would have no reason to gloss over a bad film. Unless the thrilled Alvarez exaggerated Scott’s reaction, Sci-Fi fans are in for a real highlight.

Little is known about the plot of Alien: Romulus. The film will not continue any of the previous storylines from the franchise. He is supposed to play on a strange planet with young characters, who make a horrifying discovery.

When is Alien: Romulus coming to cinemas?

Unfortunately, the Alien community still has to wait a while for the new part. Alien: Romulus is supposed to be on August 15, 2024 come to the cinema. By then, seven years will have passed since the last part, Alien: Covenant.
