One of the best sci-fi movies of the year is actually annoying TikTok fidgeting with flat calendar wisdom

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Who always has a movie with too oversized hot dog fingers, stones communicating with each other via subtitles, action scenes and multiverses outside of the MCU, Everything Everywhere should add All at Once to its 2022 leaderboard by the end of the year.

The joint film best list of the Moviepilot and FILMSTARTS editors cannot do without the new work of the Swiss Army Man directors. For me, the almost unbearable sci-fi hype is a candidate for the flop list. More annoying in his pushy way, creative and wacky at all costs wanting to be was no different film this year.

Sci-fi hype Everything Everywhere All at Once is annoying as a hectic TikTok thunderstorm

It doesn’t surprise me that the flick hits a nerve, especially among a younger generation of film fans. Everything Everywhere All at Once capitalizes on sensory overload and throws his ideas, allusions and set pieces around your ears at a dizzying pace.

The film fits in perfectly with this lower TikTok attention span on. The directors just throw everything together in a non-stop flurry of editing, and everyone gets to cling to fleeting highlights in this stew.

These are at best smartly choreographed action scenes and at worst amateurish re-enactments of great classics (Wong Kar-Wais In the Mood for Love) or subterranean hot dog finger and dildo humorfor which an MCU film like Thor 4: Love and Thunder is trashed by the same audience.

Everything Everywhere All at Once works most of the time like an uncomfortably nerdy fan film compilation, which was dumped on YouTube in trailer clip format. The film nips hints of emotional character relationships in the bud as soon as the next goofy pop culture reference or Family Guy-quality gag awaits.

After 140 endless minutes Everything Everywhere All at Once then spreads the enlightening message that in order to live well, you need to be kind. Only the here and now counts. be there for each other Thanks for nothing.
