These include the T. rex from Jurassic Park, the DeLorean from Back to the Future, the Giant from Space and one of the most famous scenes from Stanles Kubrick’s The Shining. Whether Ready Player Two is really coming remains unclear
In 2020, author Ernest Cline released the sequel Ready Player Two. Actress Olivia Cooke stated at the time that her contract would include appearing in a sequel. The sequel hasn’t progressed beyond the early development stage.
While the film was successful, grossing $592 million, it was not a smashing hit. Spielberg’s participation is also uncertain. The director played an essential role in convincing the many licensors of the referenced works. However, he described the film to the AP agency as one of the most exhausting of his life, right after Jaws and Saving Private Ryan.
Steven Spielberg’s next film has yet to be announced. He is associated with a remake of the Steve McQueen classic Bullit and a biopic about composer George Gershwin. He is also working as a producer on a series adaptation of Stanley Kubrick’s Napoleon screenplay, which was never made into a film. There doesn’t seem to be room for Ready Player Two.
