The Netflix series Beef begins with a traffic dispute that escalates the situation between the main characters ever more bizarrely as the plot progresses. In our top 25 best series of 2023, Beef made it to number 22. Showrunner Sung Jin Lee’s production in the miniseries format was actually considered to have ended after one season.
But now there was the surprising news that the creator is planning a sequel. It should come with one completely new cast which could also include top stars such as Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway.
Beef season 2 is supposed to reinvent the Netflix hit
As Deadline reports, the Beef creator is currently looking to cast a new season of the Netflix series. The sequel is expected to be a completely new story with different characters about the Quarrel between two couples tell, for which Sung Jin Lee probably wants to come up with a casting coup.
In addition to rumored new beef favorites like Charles Melton (May December) and Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla), Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway are also said to be in talks for roles. So far, the casting process is at a very early stage final deals This possible occupation is still a long way away.
