Every film in the Final Destination series works in a similar way: A group of friends or acquaintances survive a serious disaster completely unscathed by chance. But Death doesn’t want to miss out on his harvest. And so an invisible force manipulates objects in the environment of the supposedly lucky ones. The resulting die in a particularly grotesque manner.

Protagonists die, for example, from a loose steel cable or parts of a shower curtain, while barbecuing, in the tanning salon or during ballet training. The hair-raising preparation of the mostly extremely bloody deaths is the biggest appeal of the series for many fans.
Since Final Destination 5 in 2011, the community has been waiting for a sequel, which has actually been in the works since the late 2010s. Filming on Final Destination 6: Bloodlines started, as Bloody Disgusting quotes from a social media message. The makers have already faked their deaths for the horror sequel. It is not yet known when exactly the sequel will appear in cinemas or on stream.
