Good mainstream comedies from Germany? Do they exist? Markus Goller has established himself as promising candidate when it comes to bringing tragic stories to the big screen with a humorous touch. His best film to date: the extremely entertaining road movie 25 km/h with Bjarne Mädel and Lars Eidinger.
Last year he followed up with another tragicomedy. One for the Road tells the story of a young man who Cannot get alcohol addiction under controlGoller is aware of the seriousness of the subject matter. However, that doesn’t mean that his film can’t be entertaining – especially with these stars.

Frederick Lau and Nora Tschirner play the main roles in One for the Road. They are the biggest argument in favor of the filmLau plays the role of construction manager Mark, who can’t get away from alcohol. Tschirner finds himself in the role of Helena, who is one step further and is trying to get her addiction under control.
