Good comedy has a hard time finding an audience in Germany. jerks is one of the few exceptions. The fact that the critics’ darling has had 5 seasons since it started in 2017 is a small sensation. The series starring Christian Ulmen and Fahri Yardim can easily be ranked alongside successes such as Stromberg and The Crime Scene Cleaner. Now you get jerks. his major degree with Joyn.

The stars Christian Ulmen and Fahri Yardim play fictitious versions of themselves. In the series they are best friends and never leave out any embarrassment in their chaotic everyday life. The humor is correspondingly coarse and often slips into calculated tastelessness.
What makes Season 5 different? The final season aims to shed light on the duo’s past. Were Christian and Fahri friends when they were children?
Improv comedy without a script: What is special about jerks.?
Christian and Fahri regularly meet Berlin celebrities in tranquil Potsdam. For example, there are guest appearances by Palina Rojinski or Paul ‘Sido’ Würdig. Who at jerks. takes part, but has to do without a script. All dialogues are improvised by the stars. Only a previously determined, rough plot serves as a guide for the actors. This sometimes results in great and unforeseen situations.
Also because of this successful concept, jerks. Multiple awards in Germany, including 2019 at the German Television Prize for Best Comedy Series.

INTIMATE. is the eagerly awaited follow-up project by the celebrated Die Discounter makers. The five main actors Bruno Alexander, Emil Belton, Oskar Belton, Max Mattis and Leo Fuchs are entirely responsible for the production, wrote the screenplays and directed. INTIMATE plays like Die Discounter in Hamburg and accompanies five young men as they grow up – and the failure of it.
