Gran Torino revolves around the grumpy and racist pensioner Walt (Eastwood), who is at loggerheads with the Korean residents of his neighborhood. When the neighbor boy Thao (Bee Vang) tries to steal his old Ford Gran Torino, the attack strangely leads to both parties becoming closer.
In one scene, Walt protects Thao’s sister Sue (Ahney Her) from three teenagers and reprimands her boyfriend Trey for his inaction with a heartfelt message “Shut up, wimp!” right. It’s actually a standard Clint Eastwood scene, only one detail makes it a bit bizarre: Eastwood insults his own son Scott Eastwood in the role of Trey. Were they both looking forward to the scene?
