Pokémon GO is bringing back a feature that was recently removed. But unfortunately this was adjusted somewhat during their comeback.
What kind of change is this? Shortly before the big natural zone event in Pokémon GO, there was an update that brought a major improvement to the game. This meant you could join your friends who were in raids via remote raid and even invite your own friends to the raid.
But when the natural zone ended, the function in Pokémon GO was deactivated again, to the sadness of many trainers. Now it is available in the game again, albeit in a weaker form.
Join yes, invite no
What does the function look like now? You now have the opportunity to join your friends again when they are in raids. You can also filter your friends list accordingly and see friends who are actively involved in a raid.
However, it is no longer possible for you to invite additional friends to the lobby and for them to be able to invite friends in turn. This was still possible in November, but has now been canceled when the function was reintroduced. So you can only join a raid in this way alone.
In addition, this method is only possible for raids that are generally possible with a remote raid pass. So this excludes Crypto Raids and also the Elite Raids.
Niantic itself updated the article on the topic a few hours ago and writes about it on the relevant help page:
“Note that once you join a raid from your friends list, you will not be able to invite additional trainers from your friends list to that specific raid. Certain types of raids that cannot be joined via remote raids, such as: B. Crypto Raids and Elite Raids cannot be accessed via the friends list.”
What do you think about it? Do you think the function still has great added value in this way? If you would like to test the function yourself, you will have many opportunities to do so in the next few weeks. Because there are some raids coming up again that you can take part in: All raid hours and legendary bosses in December 2024.
