Marvel’s universe is full of superheroes who actually only want good ones. But in some stories this means that even celebrated heroes become nasty upper villains. In a dark world, this happens to a figure that will soon get its own film.
What heroes are there? As Mr. Fantastic, Reed Richards is a radiant hero with his team, the Fantastic Four, who has done a lot of good things with his intellect. He and his team regularly save the universe from dangerous Marvel villains like Galactus.
But not every version of Reed Richards has a good life. In universe-1610 he is still one of the smartest heroes in the universe, but tragic events make it an unscrupulous villain.
The first cinematic appearance of the Fantastic Four was in 2005:

Similar origin with a tragic end
What happens to the other Reed Richards? In the universe-1610, Reed Richards does not have a particularly different history of origin like the well-known hero. He too was very smart early on and had an infinite interest in science, even if he came from a difficult home.
He got to know Ben (later the thing) early and during his studies he worked for Dr. Franklin Storm, who presented his children Susan (later the invisible) and Johnny (later the torch). He worked for a certain time on research projects that led to work on the N zone. This is an alternative zone that exists away from the normal universe. During research, he also met Viktor van Damme (later Dr. Doom).
In an accident with an experiment for the N zone, caused by Viktor van Damme, the heroes received their well-known forces. They shaped the Fantastic Four and everything went quite well. Then it came to the ultimatum wave. It was a tragic event in which Magento killed thousands of people in New York by manipulating the magnetic fields of the earth.
Tragically, Sue Storm died and her father died. Reed Richards wanted to find the cause. As it turned out, Dr.Doom was the head behind the disaster. Sue woke up and at the funeral of her father, Reed made her an application, which she refused.
The Fantastic Four separated through the tragedy and Reed moved in with his parents. Reed became a new gloomy version and thus also a mighty villain due to the rejection of Sue and the tragic event of the Ultimatum Wave.
The birth of The Maker
What happened after his separation with the Fantastic Four? Due to his new worldview, Reed Richards was all right. This was caught when an alternative version of Kang visited him and tells him that the world will soon end. Then he killed his parents and falsified his death.
He starts planning attacks in different places such as bases or at home from superheroes. This goes well until Sue Storm finds out that Reed lives and is now a villain. Ultimately, this also leads to a fight in which Johnny Storm burns the face of Reed and the heroes destroy its base in the N zone. Reed escapes again.
He returned to Earth, called himself the Maker and founded the Children of Tomorrow. A fanatic group that wants to improve and conquer the world. This also led to confrontations with many heroes. After each failure, the maker gets up again and tries to enforce his plans. Sometimes he is saved by Kang, sometimes he pretends to be a hero again.
One of his worst deeds was the rebirth of his Ultimate universe in the universe-6160. There he ensures that many of the heroes never become heroes, but only to normal people. He wanted to be the ruler with it. But he is also stopped there.
He keeps returning to achieve new skills, such as a symbiten. He is also almost immortal and he is practically present in the whole universe.
Why is The Maker so dangerous? Despite his unscrupulous streak, he is Reed Richards and is one of the most ingenious people in the entire Marvel universe. The indomitable urge to achieve his goals is incredibly dangerous on both sides.
A less dangerous variant of Reed Richards can be seen again in the cinema from July 24, 2025. Even there seems to be about the multiverse. Almost all known heroes have bizarre variants. Also Spider-Man: 7 absurd variants of Spider-Man, who would never get their own Marvel film
