Emma Watson rose to fame as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films. The final was followed by the trickiest phase of her career. Like her co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, she had to outside of Hogwarts prove. Watson made some exciting decisions along the way.

However, the two central characters (next to Watson, Daniel Brühl plays the second main role in the film) are fictitious. That in no way diminishes the tension factor.

    Lena and Daniel, a German couple, find each other in 1973 during the military coup in Chile again. Both are captured by the military police. While Lena is released after a short time, Daniel is transported to the Colonia Dignidad settlement, which is sealed off from the outside world and is run by the preacher Paul Schäfer (Michael Nyqvist). Lena does everything to get him out of there.

    Director Florian Gallenberger stages the film as a claustrophobic nightmare. There is no quick escape from Colonia Dignidad. We learn through the perspective of Watson’s character sophisticated and shocking system know that was created to oppress and abuse people. With every passing minute, escaping this nightmare seems more and more impossible.
