In the aging municipalities of Utrechtse Heuvelrug, Bunnik, De Bilt and Baarn, the proportion of ‘voters younger than 35’ does not even reach 20 percent. Leusden is only just above it with 21 percent. If we rank all municipalities on the basis of over-65s, these municipalities form the top-5. In Utrechtse Heuvelrug, De Bilt and Baarn, seniors make up almost a third of the electorate (31 percent). In Leusden and Bunnik, that share is 29 percent.
