One is charged with the murder of Beata Ratzman

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

Beata Ratzman had decided to leave her husband and after years of abuse she reported him to the police and filed for divorce. A month later she was dead.

Her 49-year-old husband is now charged on suspicion of murder.

“He will of course be detained early, but it will take a couple of months before he admits that he killed her and buried her in the forest,” says criminologist Leif GW Persson.

The man is charged with murder and breach of the peace of mind and also for serious breach of child protection when the couple’s seven-year-old son witnessed the crime. The son was in the back seat of the car in which the man took him and his mother away.

“He hears and probably sees at least the prelude to this deed and you can’t do that, you can’t expose children to that kind of thing,” says Persson.

The man has admitted that he killed Beata but continues to deny murder. However, it is not likely that he will be acquitted on that point, given the heavy burden of proof in the case.

“If he can’t keep her, no one else should have her,” comments Persson and believes that the man had a clear intention to murder Beata.
