A man in his 40s has been injured in a dog attack in Arvika.
The dog’s owner, an 85-year-old woman, is now suspected of causing bodily harm.
It was at lunchtime today that the man was out running in a small community outside Arvika when he was attacked by a larger dog.
– This dog ran out and bit him. He received several cuts to the body and was injured, but we have no information whether he needed medical attention or not, says Lars Hedelin, press spokesperson at the Bergslagen police region.
The police do not know what breed the dog is.
– We only know that it is big, says Lars Hedelin.
The police must contact the County Administrative Board, which will decide what will happen to the dog.
– At the moment, I have nothing to say that it has been taken care of or anything like that. It is the County Administrative Board that can conduct an investigation into a lack of supervision, says Lars Hedelin.
