The police were called to Öxnehaga in Jönköping at around 10 p.m. after reports of loud explosions. A 25-year-old man was found injured and is being treated by an ambulance with an unclear condition.
Several patrols are searching the area in search of the exact crime scene which is suspected to have taken place outdoors. There are many indications that it is a shooting.
– We are convinced that it is a shooting that has taken place, says police spokesperson Johnny Gustavsson.
The police are now looking for a suspected perpetrator.
– We believe that the person may have left the scene on some kind of vehicle, a bicycle or an electric scooter.
