It was around 12 o’clock on Sunday that the alarm came about a scooter accident outside Arvidsjaur.
The accident must have happened far from a navigable scooter route, but the rescue service got to the scene with a scooter and an ambulance helicopter was called from Gällivare.
At 15:00, the police announced that the man, who was from Norrbotten, had died and that the next of kin had been notified.
The police do not suspect any crime.
