One person is dead after a head-on collision on national highway 28 north of Kosta.
– In connection with the collision, the passenger car caught fire, says Rickard Lundqvist, the police’s press officer.
During the afternoon, the police and emergency services were alerted to a serious traffic accident between a truck and a car on National Highway 28 north of Kosta.
According to information to TV4 Nyheterna, there were people left in the car at the time of the fire. One person in the car has died and the truck driver is said to be physically unharmed. Route 28 is closed in both directions and is expected to reopen at approximately 5:30 p.m.
The alarm about the accident came at 14.36 and three people are involved in the accident. Both vehicles have been impounded and must be towed from the scene.
