One person is dead, and two others are seriously injured, after a crash involving a sedan and delivery truck in western Elgin County Sunday afternoon.
Elgin OPP, Dutton-Dunwich firefighters and Elgin County paramedics responded to a collision on Currie Road and Thamesview Line, northwest of Dutton, at approximately 12:45 pm
Police say the passenger of the sedan and the delivery truck driver were rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene, OPP said.
The person’s identity is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
Police have closed the road and are asking the public to avoid the area as the OPP traffic collision team investigates the fatal crash.
