At least one person is dead and four people have been injured in connection with a shooting in the city of Atlanta in the United States, according to the city’s police.
They have been “taken to hospital for treatment and a fourth has been declared dead at the scene. Officers are actively searching for the suspect and possible additional victims,” the police wrote on Twitter.
In the initial stage, the police announced that they were investigating an “active shooter situation” in a building.
No one has been arrested. The police have published a picture of the person they suspect may be the perpetrator.
The suspected shooter is believed to be armed and dangerous, and police are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to call 911. Atlanta police are also urging everyone in the area to seek shelter and stay indoors.
