A large police operation was underway on Thursday afternoon after a shooting in central Copenhagen when two people were hit and a 43-year-old man died, reports TV 2.
The two victims are Danish citizens and already known to the police, says Michelsen according to the Danish newspaper Politiken.
According to Aftonbladet, a woman was also hit in connection with the incident, but she is said to be unharmed.
Does not exclude connection to Sweden
– We cannot rule out that it is related to the ongoing conflict with connections to Sweden, but it is still too early to say anything definitive about the motive for today’s event, the Copenhagen police told TV 2.
A large police force was on site during the afternoon and early evening.
No people have been arrested, suspected of involvement in the crime.
