A 70-year-old woman died after a motorcycle collided with a boat trailer in Tilbury Sunday afternoon, Chatham-Kent police say.
Emergency crews were called to a two-vehicle crash just outside the community about 3 pm, police said.
Preliminary investigation revealed a motorcycle with two people on board collided with a boat trailer towed by a pickup that was turning onto Tilbury Street from Mill Street East, police said.
Both riders were taken to hospital. The woman passenger suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at hospital, police said. The driver sustained minor injuries.
The occupants of the pickup were injured, police said.
The name of the deceased is not being released out of respect for the family, police said.
