The accident happened early on Monday in the northeastern city of Cairns. As a result of the collision, a fire broke out on the roof of the hotel building. According to ABC, the rotor blades of the helicopter broke off and fell onto the street and into the hotel’s swimming pool.
As a result of the accident, nearly 400 people were evacuated from the hotel.
