Around 12 o’clock on Sunday, four people, two adults and two children, seek joint hospital care in Hudiksvall. One of the people, a child, dies in the hospital. The police confirmed this on Monday. Next of kin have been notified.

The other three people are still being cared for. Their condition is serious.

– There are some unclear circumstances surrounding this death, so a preliminary investigation has been launched into the cause of another’s death, Magnus Jansson Klarin, police spokesperson.

The police currently have no criminal suspicion directed against any person. At the moment, they are very secretive about the incident. According to information to Aftonbladet, the persons must be related to each other.

– We have done a number of different checks where we tried to trace back what caused this, but we don’t know what this is due to yet, says Magnus Jansson Klarin.

Among other things, the police have investigated several buildings in Söderhamn, but during the morning the police say that they have not yet found any connection between these and the death.

The police consider the incident to be isolated and there should be no danger to the public.
