One charged as threat call leads to guns, stolen vehicles, Christmas trees: OPP

A Dawn-Euphemia Township man faces charges after officers responding to a threat call found guns, a stolen vehicle and suspected stolen Christmas trees last week, provincial police say.

Officers responding to reported threats on Downie Road in the township, about 43 kilometers southeast of Sarnia, Nov. 14 arrested a suspect after discovering the trees, a stolen vehicle and firearms allegedly contravening a prohibition order. Lambton OPP said Wednesday.

A Dawn-Euphemia man, 45, is charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, two counts each of possessing property valued at more than $5,000 obtained by crime and carelessly storing a firearm or ammunition, and eight counts of possessing a firearm or ammunition contrary to a probation order, police said.

He was held after a bail hearing, police said.
