One charged after brother assaults sister: CK police

A Blenheim resident has been charged after a man assaulted his sister, Chatham-Kent police say.

Officers called to a family dispute on Hall Street North early Thursday learned a man had assaulted his sister twice without provocation hours earlier, police said.

A Blenheim man, 28, faces two counts of assault, police said. He was held pending a bail hearing.

Man faces drug loads

A man faces charges after officers searching a house as part of a harassment probe found drugs and cash, Chatham-Kent police say.

Officers seized methamphetamine, cocaine, psilocybin, digital scales, and a significant sum of Canadian currency from a Taylor Avenue residence about noon Wednesday, police said.

A Chatham man, 45, faces three counts of possessing drugs for trafficking, police said. He was released with conditions and a Jan. 24 short date.
