Season 1 has started in Diablo 4. But some players complain that you can waste your Battle Pass with a wrong click.
The new Season 1 has started and now you can finally unlock skins, cosmetics and other fun things in the Battle Pass.
Anyone who has bought the Ultimate Edition of Diablo 4 can get a “Premium Pass” for free, but there are enough players who want to skip the first season because they tend to get bored with the skins or because they don’t like the season mechanics.
But some players complain that the system in Diablo 4 is designed to waste your valuable Premium Pass (via reddit.com). At least if you play with a controller on the PC or the consoles.
In the menu, your “mouse pointer” is directly on the premium button
What is the problem? When you open the Battlepass menu with a controller, your interface is pointed directly at the Premium button. If you now click the confirmation button again because you actually want to see your progress and are not paying attention, then you activate your Premium Pass.
A user recorded the “problem” and shared it on YouTube:
In Diablo 4 there is also no warning or indication that you are now activating your Premium Pass. As one player reports, this activation cannot be undone. This shows a screenshot with Blizzard customer support.
So if you “only” accidentally clicked, then you have to be satisfied with that. There is no refund.
The players are angry: A lot of people on Reddit are upset about this weird design decision. So someone writes:
That’s the way it is. I play with controller on PC. Literally, the Seasons tab opens and you select Buy Battlepass. One wrong press and it’s unlocked when you get the Deluxe/Ulti [Edition] has.
And season travel[-Tab] is 2 buttons above the Buy button. That means the chances of accidentally pressing it are pretty high.
Others also state that this cannot be the point. Some are also surprised that there is no information at all. At least a confirmation and an explanation would be expected before the purchase. Instead, Premium is simply activated and the 20 levels are credited.
