One person has been burned after an accident at a power line in Storuman municipality, Västerbottens-Kuriren reports.
The accident happened on Monday, when two workers in a motorized cart high above the ground were going to cross a high voltage power line.
– When they cross the live wire, some kind of impact occurs and one of the people is burned, says David Ekblom, internal commander at the rescue service, to VK.
Up there, they got stuck without the possibility of getting down with their own machine. When the emergency services arrived at the scene, co-workers had helped them down with a skylift.
One of the workers was taken by ambulance to hospital, but it is unknown how serious the person’s injuries were.
The incident is being investigated as a workplace accident.
