The research company Oncopeptides has agreed on a subsidized price for Pepaxti in Germany, according to a press release. The subsidy has come about after negotiations with the German Confederation of Statutory Health Insurance Funds. According to the company, the subsidized price is in line with the company’s financial forecasts. “We are happy that we have been able to agree on a price that we believe reflects Pepaxti’s innovative nature and is fair,” says Sofia Heigis, CEO of Oncopeptides. Several factors determine that the reimbursed price of a new drug, including how innovative the drug is and the presence of existing treatments (comparators) for the same disease in the same line of treatment.
The negotiated price applies to Pepaxti in its current indication.
