Marie Agerhäll and Frit Fritzson won the final of SVT’s “På spåret” over Peter and Hector Apelgren. It was the second year in a row the duo won and now they are retiring.
— I spontaneously feel that it is time for others. You don’t have to take up all the program time. We had a hell of a lot of fun these two years, so now it’s quite appropriate to say thank you, says Fritte Fritzson.
New York shock
The victory numbers in the final were written at 47–39 and it was a quick move in the last trip that decided. Fritte Fritzson figured out the clues to New York, including the ingredients for the Manhattan drink, and won ten points.
– We sat before the program and speculated on which cities could come and agreed that New York was so very reasonable, there are usually powerful and big cities in the final, says Marie Agerhäll.
— So when they started drawing the recipe for a Manhattan, I gaped and probably looked shocked. Because I had said that before, that it would be New York.
Complement each other
The duo Agerhäll/Fritzson have been undefeated during the time in “På spåret”. The key is that they complemented each other.
— I think we just happen to be good at each other’s gaps and so we have a good chat during the trips. He speaks loudly and I can fill in where there are gaps, says Marie Agerhäll.
She reveals that they both prepared more than viewers might realize.
— Fritte is incredible. He has an Excel sheet with a lot of questions on different cities, but I have more maps in my head where I have made a lot of memory rules to put cities and countries together.
Now they are leaving “På spåret”, but Fritte Fritzson will soon appear in another TV quiz show.
— My comedian friend Nisse Hallberg to be in the “Zip Code Millionaire”, for charity. Then you can bring a friend and then he asked me. So there I show up.
