Mats Näslund is undoubtedly one of Sweden’s greats in hockey. The forward has a track record like few others, and has won both the Stanley Cup and the Olympics with Tre Kronor.

Won the Stanley Cup

In total, he won six gold medals throughout his career. Three in the SHL, one in the World Cup, one in the Olympics and one Stanley Cup. And in the 1985/86 season, Mats Näslund took a first step towards a listing that no other hockey player – in the whole world – has achieved before.

It was Mats Näslund’s only Stanley Cup victory during his career. But the Swede would later take a World Cup gold with Tre Kronor – and an Olympic gold.

The World Cup gold was salvaged in the 1990/91 season, and the Olympic gold in Norway in 1994. And with those merits, Mats Näslund wrote history.
