Fantasy epic on TV on Saturday: Lots of tears flow before the big Harry Potter finale
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 is the most unusual film in the series, which is primarily due to the fact that we stay away from the central location of the other parts: Hogwarts. Instead, the seventh Harry Potter film unfolds as apocalyptic road movie against the backdrop of barren landscapes.
Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint) are on the Search for the Horcruxesto banish Voldemort to the realm of shadows once and for all. However, they make little progress, while the sinister power of the bewitched objects has a devastating effect on their friendship.

Every Harry Potter film is darker than the last. This is especially true of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, in which hopelessness simmers tirelesslyDirector David Yates lets us feel at every second the desperation, uncertainty and conflict that reigns in the Wizarding World.
Any sense of order has disappeared, while the Dark Lord’s influence is growing stronger. Even the Muggles sense that strange, disturbing things are afoot. No wonder that this end-time odyssey ends in one of the most devastating Harry Potter moments ends: the death of an innocent person.
Attention, following spoiler!

He succeeds, but the price is a high: A dagger thrown by Bellatrix (Helena Bonham Carter) fatally wounds Dobby.
