On Facebook, you can post classified ads to sell a car or a video game, but also post a job offer. Attention, there are certain prerequisites to be able to publish a recruitment offer.
Are you recruiting and want to post a classified ad on Facebook? It’s quite possible, and it’s even free: the social network has been offering this feature since 2018. However, unlike a small sales ad that can be posted as an individual, the job ad must be linked to a Facebook page. To publish a recruitment announcement, it is therefore necessary to be a moderator or administrator of a Facebook page. It can be the page of a company or a brand, or that of an association, a sports club or even that of a community of fans.
How do I post a recruitment ad on the Facebook job postings page?
► Connect to Facebook with your usual username and password. The username you usually use must be moderator or administrator of the Facebook page for which you want to post a recruitment ad.
► In the left column on the home page of your Facebook account, click on See more below the heading Browse then click Jobs .
► At the top of the page, click on Create a job offer. This action opens an interface dedicated to the creation of the offer.
► Start by selecting the employer page, i.e. the page for which you are creating the job posting. It is on the messaging of the selected page that applications from Internet users will be received. To do this, select the desired page from the drop-down menu. A page is already displayed by default but you can select any other page of which you are an administrator or moderator.
► Indicate the job title. This is a free field, but automatic formatting is offered by Facebook.
► Then fill in the information fields that will allow candidates to present themselves. To do this, click in the free field when it is a frame. If it is a drop-down menu, click on the arrow to the left to select the different possibilities.
► Certain fields will also be used to facilitate Internet searches based on certain criteria: the location of the workplace, the type of employment (full-time, part-time, internship, volunteering or contract). They should be filled in carefully.
► In addition to the job description, it is possible to add additional questions for candidates. Select the type of question by clicking on the arrow to the right of Open question to choose between an open question, a closed question or a multiple choice question, then fill in the question in the box provided for this purpose below.
► To add an additional question, click on Add question.
► Select a photo, for example a company photo, if you want to enrich your ad. You can choose between Import a photo and Use cover . Click on Import a photo to open the download window from your computer, find the image among your folders and click Open to upload the picture. If you click on Use cover the cover of the Facebook page is used.
► If you wish to receive applications by e-mail, click on the box and indicate the chosen e-mail address. It will not be visible on the ad. If you do not enter an email address, applications are sent to the Facebook page’s email address.
► You can click Overview of the job offer to view the layout and details of your offer. Then click on Edit Job Posting to go back, or on Publish a job offer to validate the posting.
► If you don’t want to preview the offer, just click on Publish a job offer.
How to publish a job offer on the Facebook page of a company or an association?
► View the Facebook page where you want to post the offer.
► Click on the tab Jobs at the bottom of the left column.
► Click on Create a job offer.
► The elements to be completed are then the same as those described above.
► Then click on Overview of the job offer to view the job offer, or on Publish a job offer to validate the posting.
